Eugenia Roussou is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Centre for Research in Anthropology (CRIA), New University of Lisbon, Portugal. She has conducted extensive ethnographic fieldwork in Greece on the amalgamation of religion and spirituality, ritual healing and material religiosity through the belief in the evil eye. Her current research project, funded by the Portuguese Foundation of Science and Technology (FCT), focuses on a comparative approach between Portugal and Greece on the theme of religion in/of crisis, religious pluralism, spiritual creativity and practices of complementary and alternative healing.
