Amy Whitehead is an associate lecturer in Religious Studies in the UK at
the University of Winchester, Oxford Brookes University, and a Tutor for
the MA in Cosmology in Culture at the University of Wales Trinity Saint
David. She is also the Series Editor for the new 'Bloomsbury Studies in Material Religion'. Broadly, Amy's research
focus is the material dimension of religion coupled with interests in pilgrimage, festivals, new approaches
to animism, statue devotion, religions in diaspora, and earth based
religions/traditions. Her most recent publication is Religious Statues and Personhood, Testing the Role of Materiality.
